May 17th, I went and got two lower lip piercings, some times referred to as “labret” and when placed like mine, commonly known as “snake bites.”

There are two types of screw-on body jewelry available: internally and externally threaded. Internally threaded, on say a barbell, would have the screw-looking bit on the ball. The externally threaded jewelry would have the screw-looking piece on the jewelry, like what most screw-on tunnels have.

People pierce for several reasons. Some do it for their religion. Others may just like the look. As for people like me, we pierce because we feel with each piercing we are becoming more of who we are mean to be.

I decided to order several pairs of 0g plugs from FreshTrends.com because a lot of their plugs I haven’t seen anywhere else. One pair I decided to order were the tiger’s eye plugs. They were a more subtle pair of stone I could get away with at family functions and the like.

In life we aspire nothing more than to express ourselves. When we were little kids we would make drawings and give them to our parents, then feel an overwhelming sense of happiness and pride as we would walk by the refrigerator and see them being held by magnets. We would all sit there smiling, or at least I did, knowing that we made that picture and admiring its beauty. It is the little things like that, which really is what defines us as people.

It was Senior Skip day and I was going to get my septum pierced. I knew that I had to keep it a secret from my mom, she would not approve of me having a big facial piercing that made me look “like a bull”, as she put it. Thankfully that day my friend and I were going to town alone.
