Tattoos have been around for a while. Literally. When in 2005 the discovery of a pre-Incan woman’s mummy in Peru came to light – the insight gained, yet again on the ancient practice of tattoos, left for some very interesting conversation. Clearly visible in photographs, the tattoos of a serpent, spider and nocturnal animals seen and captured on film are equally as exciting as they are mysterious.

Most of the big name designers had some truly unique offerings in the shoe department this season, the perfect foil to the glamorous and feminine spring lines. Alexander McQueen’s collection of whimsical designs took centre stage, with its butterflies, ears of corn and other unusual accoutrements. Prada showcased some amazing sporty wedges, Chanel had velvet wedges to die for, and everywhere there were leopard print platform heels and sky-high python stilettos.

Been There – DONE That. I’ve had my fair share of Valentine’s Days as an adult female and let me tell you, a LOT of times, it hasn’t been pretty.
